About the Event

Trek to the paradise for nature lovers, trekkers, jungle enthusiasts, and bird watchers, as we embark on an unforgettable journey to the very famous scenic Bhimashanker, a destination that promises breathtaking views and a rich tapestry of biodiversity. This trek is not just a physical challenge but also an opportunity to immerse oneself in the serene beauty of nature, where every step reveals a new wonder of the wilderness. We begin our trek in the evening hours, setting off from the bustling Ganesh Ghat. The gentle ascent through the lush forest trails provides a perfect introduction to the mesmerizing sights and sounds of the jungle. After couple of hours of trekking, we will take a day break near Padarwadi, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by the local villagers, offering us a taste of authentic regional cuisine. The warmth of their hospitality will make our night stay in a villager's house a memorable experience.

On Day 2, we will kick start the day with renewed energy, ready to tackle the rest of the ascent towards the historical Bhimashanker. The historical significance of Bhimashanker, known for its ancient temples and mythological connections, adds a layer of intrigue to our journey. After visiting Bhimashanker, where we will take time to appreciate the intricate architecture and the spiritual atmosphere, we will begin our descent back on the same trail. This return journey will be equally rewarding and enjoy the vibrant scenery once more. We will pause for a satisfying lunch, replenishing our energy before continuing our descent towards the base village. This trek not only offers a chance to connect with nature but also allows us to appreciate the culture and traditions of the local communities along the way, making it a truly enriching experience.

Fireflies Observation Guidelines:

  • No Bright Lights: Avoid using flashlights, camera flashes, or any other bright lights while watching fireflies. This can disrupt their natural behavior and make it difficult for you to see them.

  • Keep Noise Low: Fireflies are sensitive to sound, so try to keep noise to a minimum while observing them. Avoid talking loudly, playing music, or making sudden movements that could startle them.

  • Respect Their Space: While it's tempting to get a closer look, try to maintain a respectful distance from the fireflies. Getting too close can disrupt their natural behavior and cause them unnecessary stress.

  • No Catching: Resist the temptation to catch fireflies or disturb them in any way. They play a vital role in their ecosystem, and interfering with them can disrupt their mating patterns and overall population.

  • Avoid Chemicals: Refrain from using insect repellents, perfumes, deodrants or other chemicals that could harm fireflies or their habitat. These substances can have unintended consequences on the delicate balance of the ecosystem.

  • Protect Their Habitat: Be careful not to trample vegetation or disturb the soil in areas where fireflies are active. Respect their habitat by staying on designated paths or observation areas.

  • No campfires: Firefly habitats are sensitive; avoid lighting fires nearby.
