These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website www.ramblersindia.com (the “Site”) and your participation in any outdoor adventure activities, treks, rides, camps, or related services (collectively, the “Services”) offered by Ramblersindia Outdoors (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. (“Ramblersindia,” "Ramblers India", “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the Site or registering for a Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site or Services.
Terms and Conditions for Listed Events on our website
1. Definitions

Participant: An individual who registers for, pays for, or takes part in a Ramblersindia activity.

Booking: Your confirmed reservation for a Service, achieved by completing our registration form and paying in full.

2. Eligibility & Acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old to register or participate.

By registering, you confirm you are in good physical and mental health and capable of strenuous outdoor activities.

You agree to follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by our guides and staff.
3. Bookings & Registration

Only inquiries made via our Official Contact Channels are recognized as valid.

A Booking is confirmed when:

You complete our online registration form.
-
We receive and process your full payment.
-
You receive an official confirmation email.
-

Bookings are non-transferable unless Ramblersindia provides written consent.
4. Payment Terms

All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Payments must be made via the methods listed on our Site.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any Booking for payment issues or suspected fraud.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
If Ramblersindia cancels or reschedules due to weather, safety, or force majeure, you may choose a full refund or credit toward a future event.
6. Participant Conduct

Arrive on time with required gear and documents.

Follow all guide instructions and safety briefings.
-
Respect fellow participants, local communities, wildlife, and the environment.
-
Alcohol, drugs, harassment, or discrimination will result in removal without refund.
7. Health, Fitness & Assumption of Risk

Adventure activities involve inherent risks—property damage, injury, or death.
-
You acknowledge and voluntarily assume all such risks.
-
Disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or limitations; failure to do so may result in removal at your expense.
8. Insurance

You must obtain comprehensive travel and medical evacuation insurance covering high-altitude, adventure risks, trip cancellation, and baggage loss.

We want to ensure you have a seamless experience with our events. While we do not provide insurance for all events, we will clearly indicate when it is included. For corporate and customized groups, we highly insurance and can provide it upon agreement. Your peace of mind is our priority.
9. Liability Limitation & Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ramblersindia and its affiliates, guides, and agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in Services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ramblersindia and its representatives from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your negligence.
10. Intellectual Property

All Site content—text, images, logos, videos, and software—is owned by Ramblersindia or used with permission.

You may view, download, and print content for personal, non-commercial use only.

Any other use requires our express written consent.
11. User-Generated Content

If you submit photos, videos, or reviews, you grant Ramblersindia a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content for promotional or marketing purposes.

You represent that you own or have rights to the submitted content.
12. Third-Party Services & Links

We may link to or integrate third-party websites, vendors, or embedded tools (maps, weather widgets, social feeds).

We do not control or endorse their content, privacy, or security practices.

13. Disclaimers

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, war, government actions, pandemics, or other “Force Majeure” events.

In such cases, we may cancel or modify Services and will offer refunds or credits based on recoverable costs.
15. Changes to Terms

Continued use of the Site or Services after the update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18. Emergency Contingency
18.1 Unavailability of Designated Personnel In the event of a critical emergency resulting in the unavailability of a designated Ramblers India team member, Ramblers India reserves the right to take one of the following actions

18.1.1 Cancellation: The scheduled event may be cancelled. In such cases, a full refund will be initiated for all registered participants

18.1.2 Delegation: The event may be delegated to a qualified local guide or a trusted partner organization to ensure continuity of service
18.2 Transfer of Booking to Third Parties If a booking is transferred to another organization, Ramblers India policies—including but not limited to payment terms, cancellation rules, and participant protections—shall cease to apply. The policies of the receiving organization shall govern the participant’s experience from the point of transfer. Participants are advised to review the terms and conditions of the receiving organization.
18.3 Ramblers India commits to:

Terms and Conditions for Corporate & Customized Outdoor Events
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all corporate and custom outdoor events (“Events”) organized by Ramblers India (“we”, “us”, “our”). By signing the service agreement or making any payment, the contracting party (“Client”) and its participants (“Participants”) agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions

Client: Organization or individual contracting Ramblers India for an Event.

Participants: Individuals registered by the Client to attend the Event.

Service Agreement: Written contract detailing scope, schedule, fees, and these Terms.
2. Scope of Services
We provide:

Itinerary design, permits, logistics, and bookings
-
Certified guides, first-aid, and safety briefings
-
Equipment rental (tents, cooking gear, safety kits) where specified
-
Customized branding, team-building modules, guest speakers, or photography
Any service not specified in the Service Agreement is out of scope unless added by written amendment.
3. Booking & Payment

Booking Confirmation
-
We issue a pro forma invoice once the Event scope is finalized.
-
The Event slot is provisionally held on invoice generation.
-

Advance Payment
-
A non-refundable advance (typically 30% of total fee) is due within 5 business days of invoice date.

Balance Payment
-
Remaining balance (70%) must be paid in full at least 2 days before the Event start.
-
Failure to pay by the deadline entitles us to cancel the booking and retain the advance.

Payment Methods
-
Online gateways incur a convenience fee displayed at checkout (borne by the Client).
-
UPI/NEFT to our current account carries no convenience fee; transaction proof must be sent via email or WhatsApp within 24 hours.

4. Changes & Cancellation
4.1 Client-Initiated Cancellation

Advance payments are non-refundable if cancellation is due to non-payment of balance.
4.2 Ramblers India Cancellation
We may modify or cancel an Event for safety, regulations, or force majeure. In that case, Clients may choose:

Full refund of Event fees (excluding convenience fees), or
-
Transfer to an alternate date within 12 months.
4.3 Itinerary Adjustments
Minor route or schedule changes due to weather, trail conditions, or logistics do not warrant refunds.
5. Participant Obligations

Provide accurate personal, medical, and dietary details prior to the Event.
-
Sign and return waiver, health declaration, and code-of-conduct forms before departure.
-
Carry required personal gear per the packing checklist.
-
Follow all guide instructions; deviation from the group is at Participant’s own risk.
6. Health, Safety & Risk
-
Participants confirm they are fit and able to undertake the Event.
-
Pre-existing conditions must be disclosed in writing; carry personal medications.
-
Guides conduct daily safety briefings; attendance is mandatory.
-
Participants assume all inherent risks (terrain, weather, wildlife).
7. Insurance
-
Client must arrange group travel, accident, and medical evacuation insurance.
-
Participants are encouraged to carry individual cover; we can assist in securing group policies.
8. Liability & Indemnity
-
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clients and Participants release Ramblers India and its affiliates from any claims for injury, loss, or damage arising from Event participation.

Client agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless against third-party claims related to the Event.
9. Conduct & Environment
-
Respect local communities, wildlife, and the environment.
-
Prohibited: alcohol or drug use during the Event, littering, vandalism, or harassment.
-
Misconduct may result in immediate expulsion without refund.
10. Intellectual Property
-
All itineraries, training materials, maps, and media remain our intellectual property.
-
Clients receive a non-exclusive license to use event media for internal or promotional purposes, with appropriate credit.
11. Privacy & Credentials
-
We process personal data (contact, medical, payment) only to deliver Event services, per our Privacy Policy.
-
Upon written request, we share company registration and safety certifications via email for corporate due diligence.
12. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions). Affected obligations are suspended during the force majeure period.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Indian law. Any dispute will be resolved by arbitration in Mumbai under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitrator’s decision is final and binding.
14. Amendments
We may amend these Terms with 30 days’ written notice to the Client. Continued services after the notice period imply acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Pricing & Cost Structure
15.1 Event participation fees quoted on the website represent a consolidated amount covering the overall experience. Ramblers India does not disclose a detailed cost breakup of individual services or internal components (such as guide charges, permits, gear, transport, logistics, etc.).
15.2 This pricing policy enables us to maintain operational flexibility, optimize cost-efficiency across dynamic terrains, and ensure consistent quality for participants. It also helps us adapt to unforeseen factors such as seasonal fluctuations, local vendor availability, and last-minute safety upgrades without compromising participant experience.
15.3 Participants are assured that all inclusions and exclusions are transparently mentioned in the event details. Any queries regarding listed inclusions will be addressed via official communication channels.
16. Pricing Variation
Ramblers India reserves the right to revise published event pricing up to 2 days before the event start date. Price revisions may be triggered by:

Changes in participant count or group composition

Fluctuations in vendor, transport, or accommodation rates
-
New regulatory, permit, or statutory fee requirements
-
Significant currency exchange shifts (for events with foreign-denominated costs)
-
Missed revising the pricing section after cloning the prior event
Confirmed bookings are safeguarded against price increases, except where statutory taxes or government levies are introduced after confirmation. Any upward or downward adjustment will be communicated in writing and require client acknowledgment prior to implementation.
17. Emergency Contingency
In the event of a critical emergency resulting in the unavailability of a designated Ramblers India team member, we reserve the right to take one of the following actions:

Cancellation: Cancel the scheduled event and initiate a full refund process.

Delegation: Transfer event execution to a qualified local guide or trusted partner organization. Once transferred Ramblers India policies won't be applicable.
Ramblers India – Recruitment Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility & Application

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and physically fit for outdoor activities.
-
Submission of an application does not guarantee selection or onboarding.
-
Ramblers India reserves the right to accept, reject, or discontinue any applicant at its sole discretion.
2. Role Expectations
-
Selected individuals must adhere to safety protocols, event guidelines, and team conduct standards.
-
Outdoor roles may involve trekking, rappelling, camping, and other physically demanding activities in remote environments.
-
Punctuality, professionalism, and respectful behavior toward participants and team members are mandatory.
3. Training & Equipment
-
Basic orientation and safety training will be provided.
-
Equipment issued by Ramblers India must be used responsibly and returned in good condition.
-
Damage or loss due to negligence may result in penalties or suspension.
4. Insurance & Liability
-
Active trek leaders are covered under Sports Cover Insurance during official events.
-
Ramblers India is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages incurred outside designated activities or due to non-compliance.
5. Confidentiality & Data Protection
-
Applicants agree to maintain confidentiality regarding internal operations, participant data, and event strategies.
-
Personal data shared during recruitment will be handled in accordance with ourPrivacy Policy and used solely for onboarding and internal communication.
6. Media & Consent
-
Ramblers India may capture photos/videos during events.
-
By joining, you consent to the use of your image and voice for promotional or documentation purposes unless explicitly opted out.
7. Freelance Engagement & Exclusivity
-
Freelance or external collaborations must be disclosed.
-
Ramblers India may enforce exclusivity or restrict dual affiliations to avoid conflicts of interest.
8. Termination & Restructuring
-
Ramblers India reserves the right to restructure or downsize teams based on operational needs.
-
Misconduct, breach of policy, or safety violations may result in immediate termination without refund or notice.
-
We aim to maintain respectful transitions and welcome future freelance collaboration where appropriate.
9. Dispute Resolution
-
Any disputes arising from recruitment or engagement will be subject to the jurisdiction of Mumbai courts and governed by Indian law.
