As one of the Panch Kedar temples, Tungnath is part of a group of five sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in the Garhwal Himalayas. The other four temples in this divine circuit are Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Rudranath, and Kalpeshwar. Each temple holds its own significance in Hindu mythology and pilgrimage traditions.

Itinerary

Day 0: Depart from Delhi

  • Reporting at ISBT Kashmere Gate - 11:00PM.
  • Travel from Delhi to Rishikesh by AC bus.

Day 1: Rishikesh sightseeing & River Rafting

Besides its spiritual significance, Rishikesh serves as a gateway to numerous Himalayan treks, including the famous Chardham Yatra pilgrimage circuit comprising Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Day 2:  Drive towards Chopta & Acclimatization

The distance of approximately 165 kilometers between Chopta and Rishikesh unfolds a scenic journey spanning around 7-8 hours by road. Travelers embarking on this route are treated to a diverse landscape, ranging from the bustling cityscape of Rishikesh to the tranquil serenity of Chopta's pristine environs.

Day 3: Hike to Tungnath (Highest Abode of Lord Shiva) & Chandrashila

The trek to Tungnath is a spiritually enriching journey, spanning approximately 4 kilometers one way and typically taking 3-4 hours to complete. The trail winds through verdant forests, offering glimpses of stunning Himalayan vistas along the way. Day 4: Hike to Deoria Tal & Return Journey

Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,438 meters (7,999 feet) above sea level, Deoria Tal boasts breathtaking vistas and tranquil surroundings that leave visitors mesmerized. The trek to reach this enchanting lake is relatively short, covering a distance of 3 kilometers and typically taking around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

As trekkers embark on this scenic journey, they are treated to a kaleidoscope of natural beauty, with dense forests, meandering trails, and occasional glimpses of wildlife adding to the allure of the trek. Upon reaching Deoria Tal, travelers are greeted by the serene expanse of the lake, its pristine waters mirroring the surrounding mountains in a stunning display of reflection.

Step 2: Fill Mandatory Disclaimer Form

  • After payment confirmation, participants will receive a participation disclaimer form.
  • Fill up the form accurately to provide necessary information.
  • Compliance with the disclaimer is mandatory for participation.

Step 3: WhatsApp Group Creation

  • A WhatsApp group will be created prior to the day of departure.
  • All registered participants will be added to the group.
  • This group serves as a platform for communication, updates, and coordination among participants.

  • Disclaimer Form: Participants must fill up the mandatory disclaimer form online with accurate details after payment confirmation. RamblersIndia is not responsible for any issues arising from invalid details provided in case of emergency situations.
  • Punctuality: Participants are expected to maintain punctiality throguhout the event to avoid delays and inconvenience for others.
  • Age Limit: Participants below the age of 16 must obtain parental consent to participate in the tour.
  • Blanket Recommendation: It is recommended to carry a blanket during the trip, especially when traveling by AC Vehicle.
  • Itinerary Modifications: Participants will be notified in advance if there are any modifications to the itinerary or if the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Weather Conditions: In case of unexpected weather changes during the event, the RamblersIndia team reserves the right to withdraw or retreat.

  • Cash Requirement: Participants should carry extra cash during the tour for rides and entry to attractions.
  • Prohibitions: RamblersIndia and tour leaders are not responsible if the visited places have new rules or are prohibited due to natural calamities.
  • Accommodation: Private couple sharing rooms are subject to availability and will incur additional charges.
  • Washroom Facilities: Washroom facilities are available at all stay facilities.
  • Team Coordination: Participants are expected to coordinate, maintain discipline, and work as a team during the event.

  • Group Discounts: No group discounts are applicable.
  • Personal Belongings: We are not responsible for personal losses such as theft or damage to personal belongings. Participants are usually expected to take personal responsibility for their belongings and exercise caution to prevent such incidents.
  • Participants need to pay for any additional Stay/ Food due to Flight/ Train/ Bus delay or any natural calamities like landslides, earthquakes, etc.
  • Payment Process: Third-party payment gateways are used for registration. Convenience fees are to be borne by the participant during checkout.
  • Refund Policies: Participants are advised to refer to the Payment & Refund Policies for information about the refund process during seat cancellation after booking.

Payment Policy:

  • Third-Party Payment Gateways: We utilise third-party payment gateways to simplify the registration process. The convenience fee, along with the main event fee, is included and will be displayed at checkout. This fee is to be borne by the customer.
  • Advance payment: The advance payment mentioned is a non-refundable deposit.
  • Manual Payment Option: Participants have the option to make a manual payment for their ticket. This might involve transferring funds via UPI (Unified Payments Interface) or NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) referencing a provided transaction ID or reference. The manual payment option is valid for only one hour from the time the ticket is marked as unpaid. This means participants have a limited window to complete the payment process.If the participant fails to make the payment within the specified time frame, the order will be automatically marked as cancelled.
  • Transaction Confirmation: Participants paying through UPI/NEFT to our current account (where the convenience fee is nil) must provide the transaction reference via email/WhatsApp for confirmation.
  • Group Discount: Group discounts are not applicable to any of our events.
  • Service Availment: No concessions or discounts will be provided if participants choose not to avail of specific services offered during the event.
  • Withdrawal: If a participant withdraws from the event after registration, carry forward of the amount is not available. Refunds will be provided as per the refund policy in place at the time of withdrawal.

Refund Policy:

  • Refund Medium: Refunds will be processed through the same medium the payment has been made.
  • Processing Time: Refunds may take between 3 to 10 working days to be processed. If the amount hasn't been refunded within this period, the paid recipient needs to check with the payment gateway support for assistance.
  • UPI and Current Account Payments: Refunds will be processed within 2 days and instantly transferred if paid through UPI or transferred to our current account.
  • Refund Issuance: Refunds will not be issued in cash or coupons unless agreed upon with the participant. A refund will not be processed on weekends due to unavailability of the team.
  • Exclusion of Convenience Fee: Refunds exclude the convenience fee. This is applicable for those who paid through third-party channels or payment gateways, which includes an extra convenience fee. For instance, if the event price is 10000 and the convenience fee is 5%, making the total paid amount 10500, during the refund, only the event fee of 10000 will be considered, excluding the convenience fee.
  • Refund Percentages: 75% refund for cancellation thirty days or more before the event. 50% refund for cancellation between fifteen to twenty nine days before the event. No refund for cancellation between zero to fourteen days. No refund for a no-show.
  • Event Cancellation: Full event fee refund will be provided if the event is canceled, excluding the convenience fee.
  • No refund will be provided if event has to be called off at Rishikesh due to any natural calamity.
